PostSubject: The Forum Rules   Fri Nov 21, 2008 7:53 am

Discussion on this post must be kept strictly for any problems or misconceptions. If you need something to be better

explained, then we will do so.

FORUM RULES

1) No flaming/flame wars
Don't try to start flame wars or insult people, no name calling either, it's not very friendly. Basically be nice and don't

try to cause trouble, if it's obvious you're just out to be mean you may be banned without warning, so beware. Also, keep

swearing to an absolute minimum.

2) Keep on topic
If a topic starts to drift away from what the first post suggests, try to steer it back on topic, if you start talking about

something completely different you will be warned in future and if it's obvious that it's something you do repeatedly, it's

another ban able offense

3) No Useless Threads
Don't create a topic which only requires one word answers or any other fairly useless things. Also if there is a topic like

it already, use that topic instead, for instance if you have a question (which is not covered in the FAQ) there is already a

thread to ask questions and there is also a thread lying about for random images as well, there's no point making a new one

for each funny image you find.

4) Don't Double Post
Either case of double posting is not allowed, this is often misunderstood by people used to other forums when double posting

means something slightly different. As a basic rule, if you have already posted on a thread and somebody has not replied

posting again most likely won't help. Re-read your post and change it to better reflect what you want. Perhaps you were

unclear. Try changing it. If this doesn't help, maybe people aren't interested.

5) Don't backseat Mod
Don't tell people off yourselves for doing things they shouldn't be, if you see anything that shouldn't be happening report

it to a moderator. Of course if it's noticed that someone is reporting a lot of people usefully then they may be made a mod

themselves, but they won't be made a mod if they try to solve it there and then. Of course there are punishments for

reporting when nothing is wrong, so again, be warned

6) Don't Slow Chat
If you can see that a thread is continuing with only you and one or two other people the give it a break. This should

especially be the case if you've posted a couple of times in a short period on the same thread as it builds up the number of

posts and is of no use to anybody else as its difficult to follow.

7) Respect Everybody
This goes especially for moderators, but you should respect everyone around you, they may have different views from you, but

as long as they're not being abusive about it, you should't be either, but that's no excuse for you to be if they start, as

said before if this happens report it to a moderator. Also as a note to do with mod's, we're doing our jobs and there is

never a good cause to disagree with a mods decision. If you really think that a mod is abusing their power or you have been

wrongly banned, pm a different mod about it to try and resolve the issue.
